Strengthening Women’s Financial Rights After Divorce: A Legal Dialogue Between Asuda and the Supreme Judicial Council

Asuda Organization, with the lead of the organization’s president (Ms.Khanim Latif), held a special dialogue session in cooperation with the Judicial Development Institute of the Supreme Judicial Council on women’s financial rights after divorce, as part of a joint project between Asuda Organization and Equality Now.
The session was attended by a judicial supervisor, a personal status court judge, a public prosecutor, as well as representatives from relevant official institutions and authorities. A professional legal discussion was held on women’s financial rights after divorce under the Personal Status Law No. 188 of 1959 and the relevant legal provisions under Ja‘fari jurisprudence, in addition to exploring ways to strengthen legal protection and improve practical enforcement mechanisms, ensuring the protection of rights for all, particularly women.

منظمة اسودة بقيادة رئيس المنظمة (خانم لطيف) عقدت جلسة حوار متخصصة بالتعاون مع معهد التطوير القضائي في مجلس القضاء الأعلى حول الحقوق المالية للمرأة بعد الطلاق، وذلك في إطار مشروع مشترك بين منظمة أسودة ومنظمة Equality Now.
وشهدت الجلسة مشاركة السادة كلٍّ من المشرف القضائي، وقاضي محكمة الأحوال الشخصية، والمدعي العام، إضافةً إلى ممثلين عن الجهات والمؤسسات الرسمية ذات الصلة، حيث جرى نقاش مهني حول الحقوق المالية للمرأة بعد الطلاق بموجب قانون الأحوال الشخصية رقم 188 لسنة 1959، النصوص القانونية ذات الصلة وفق المذهب الجعفري، فضلًا عن بحث سبل تعزيز الحماية القانونية وتحسين آليات الإنفاذ العملي، بما يضمن حماية الحقوق للجميع، وبشكل خاص للنساء.
