Asuda Conducts an Advocacy Meeting with Execution Authorities to Address Women’s Financial Rights After Divorce

As part of the Hurra Coalition, and with the support of Equality Now, Asuda organized highly informative and productive meetings with the Execution Departments in Sulaymaniyah, Halabja, and Ranya. The meeting aimed to gain an in-depth understanding of the challenges women face after divorce, particularly regarding the enforcement of their financial and legal rights.
The discussions concluded with a focus on proposing amendments to the Personal Status Law to better protect women’s rights and on developing a joint roadmap to strengthen institutional coordination and improve the protection and stability of families.

واختُتمت النقاشات بالتأكيد على ضرورة اقتراح تعديلات على قانون الأحوال الشخصية بما يضمن حماية أفضل لحقوق النساء، إضافة إلى وضع خارطة طريق مشتركة لتعزيز التنسيق المؤسسي وتحسين حماية واستقرار الأسر.
