Together for Justice: Asuda & Mondi Hosts a Session for Individuals with Hearing Disabilities

Asuda was pleased to host a special session for individuals with hearing disabilities entitled “Together for Justice: Know Your Rights, Share Your Experiences”, generously sponsored by Mondi and skillfully facilitated by experienced sign language trainer Bahar Mahmoud. The session focused on a critical yet often overlooked issue: women’s financial rights after divorce under the Personal Status Law. By delivering the discussion in sign language, we ensured that information reached participants in an accessible and empowering way. Beyond legal awareness, the session created a safe and inclusive space where participants could openly share their lived experiences — from the daily challenges they encounter, to the social and structural barriers that too often silence their voices, and their hopes and recommendations for a fairer, more inclusive society. This gathering was not only about knowledge-sharing, but also about listening, learning, and co-creating solutions. It reinforced Asuda’s belief that true justice means breaking down barriers, amplifying marginalized voices, and ensuring that access to rights and services is never treated as charity, but recognized as a matter of justice and dignity.

سُرّت منظمة أسودة باستضافة جلسة خاصة للأشخاص من ذوي الصعوبات السمعية والتواصلية بعنوان «معًا من أجل العدالة: اعرف حقوقك، شارك تجاربك»، برعاية كريمة من شركة موندي، وبإدارة خبيرة لغة الإشارة المتمرسة بَحر محمود.

ركزت الجلسة على قضية أساسية غالبًا ما يتم إغفالها، وهي الحقوق المالية للمرأة بعد الطلاق وفقًا لقانون الأحوال الشخصية. ومن خلال تقديم النقاش بلغة الإشارة، حرصنا على أن تصل المعلومات إلى المشاركين بطريقة ميسّرة وذات طابع تمكيني. ولم يقتصر الأمر على رفع الوعي القانوني فحسب، بل أُتيح للمشاركين أيضًا فضاء آمنًا وشاملًا لتبادل تجاربهم الحياتية — بدءًا من التحديات اليومية التي يواجهونها، مرورًا بالعوائق الاجتماعية والبنيوية التي كثيرًا ما تُسكت أصواتهم، وصولًا إلى تطلعاتهم وتوصياتهم من أجل مجتمع أكثر عدلًا وإنصافًا.

لم تكن هذه الجلسة مجرد مساحة لتبادل المعرفة، بل كانت أيضًا مناسبة للاستماع والتعلّم وصياغة الحلول المشتركة. وقد جددت هذه التجربة إيمان أسودة بأن العدالة الحقيقية تعني إزالة
الحواجز، وتمكين الأصوات المهمشة، وضمان أن الوصول إلى الحقوق والخدمات ليس عملًا خيريًا، بل هو استحقاق للعدالة والكرامة الإنسانية
